Barcelona cruise port to city center: the Cruise Bus shuttle, taxis and walking

From the five Adossat wharf terminals, take the Cruise Bus shuttle to Portal de la Pau, next to La Rambla: €3.50 one way or €5 for a day ticket on its website on November 4, 2026. From the World Trade Center terminal, 400 m from the city, you can walk. A taxi from the Adossat wharf runs on the meter with a €4.60 port supplement.

How you get into Barcelona depends on where your ship is tied up. From the five terminals on the Adossat wharf, take the Cruise Bus shuttle or a taxi. From the World Trade Center terminal, you can walk. The terminals guide explains how to find out which one you are at.

It also depends on the day. On a port day ashore, your bags stay on the ship and you come back the same day. On embarkation or disembarkation day you are carrying luggage, and the best choice changes.

Is there a shuttle from Barcelona cruise port to the city?

Yes, the Cruise Bus. It links the Adossat wharf terminals with Portal de la Pau, next to La Rambla and the World Trade Center, and Transports Ciutat Comtal of the Moventis group runs it. Its website sold a one-way ticket for €3.50 and a day ticket for €5 on November 4, 2026. The port's transport page quotes the same fares.

  • Two tickets. The one-way ticket is valid only on the date printed on it. The day ticket allows any number of trips on its date, the Cruise Bus says, though the port's page calls it a round trip. Tickets bought on the website arrive by email as a PDF.
  • Which terminals. The Cruise Bus's stops page names Terminals A, B, C, D and E. Terminal C closed on November 1, 2026. For the MSC terminal, the port lists a shuttle bus and a taxi rank but does not say whose shuttle it is, so MSC passengers should ask MSC.
  • Timetable. Neither the Cruise Bus site nor the port's transport page showed a timetable or a frequency on November 4, 2026.
  • The names. The port's English pages call it the Cruise bus. Cunard's Barcelona page tells passengers to look for a bus named T3/PortBus or Cruise Bus.

On a port day ashore

If your ship is calling for the day, the Cruise Bus day ticket is the obvious buy at the Adossat wharf. It covers the trip in and the trip back for €5, the fare published on November 4, 2026, where two one-way tickets would cost €7. At the World Trade Center terminal you can skip it and walk.

From Portal de la Pau you are at the bottom of La Rambla. The Drassanes metro station is there too, on line L3, for anywhere farther.

Coming back, give yourself time. The Cruise Bus publishes no timetable, so allow for a wait at the stop. A taxi is the fallback, and the trip back to the Adossat wharf adds the €4.60 port supplement.

Can you walk from the cruise port to La Rambla?

From the World Trade Center terminal, yes. The port says its passengers can walk to the city center and puts the terminal 400 m from the city. By OpenStreetMap walking routes on November 4, 2026, the World Trade Center to the Columbus monument at the foot of La Rambla is 0.7 km, 9 minutes, and to Plaça de Catalunya 2.2 km, 29 minutes.

From the Adossat wharf, the port's pages give the Cruise Bus and a taxi rank, not a walking route. Its terminals are 2 to 3.9 km from the city by the port's own figures, and the Cruise Bus exists for that gap. The port also describes the shuttle as the link between the Adossat wharf and the Barcelona wharf, where the World Trade Center is.

The World Trade Center terminal is due to close. The port's timeline says it shuts in the fourth quarter of 2026, after which every cruise ship uses the Adossat wharf. The terminals guide has the details.

How much is a taxi from Barcelona cruise port to the city center?

It runs on the meter, with a €4.60 supplement on any trip that starts or ends at the Moll Adossat cruise dock, under the AMB's 2026 tariff read on November 4, 2026. By our arithmetic on that tariff and OpenStreetMap distances, an Adossat terminal to Plaça de Catalunya comes to €15 to €18, and the World Trade Center to Plaça de Catalunya €7 to €9.

  • The rates. €2.80 at the start, then €1.35 a km from 8 am to 8 pm on weekdays, or €1.66 a km on weekday nights, Saturdays and public holidays. Time in traffic is charged at €27.75 an hour.
  • Where to find one. The port lists a taxi rank at every terminal.
  • To the airport. From the Moll Adossat, the AMB's fixed fare to the airport is €46 with all supplements included. The airport guide has the rest.
  • Paying. Cash or card, the AMB says. Ask for the printed receipt.

Which metro station is near the cruise port?

Drassanes, on metro line L3, at the bottom of La Rambla. Cunard's directions use it and call it a five-minute walk from the Cruise Bus stops by the World Trade Center. From Drassanes, L3 runs north through Liceu, Catalunya and Passeig de Gràcia, and the other way through Paral·lel, Espanya and Sants Estació, TMB's line page shows.

  • Fares. TMB's single ticket for metro, bus and the Montjuïc funicular cost €2.90 on November 4, 2026. The T-casual, 10 journeys, cost €13, and the Hola Barcelona Travel Card started at €12.50.
  • On foot from Drassanes. Cunard's directions go from the bottom of La Rambla, right at the Columbus monument roundabout, 200 m along Passeig Josep Carner to Plaça de les Drassanes, then left onto the two tree-lined roads to the World Trade Center. The Cruise Bus stops are along those roads.

Where can you leave luggage at Barcelona cruise port?

Not at the terminal itself. Holland America's Barcelona page says "there is no luggage storage at the pier." The port lists Bags&Go for luggage storage and transport, and Bags&Go says it meets cruise passengers at the terminal exit, stores bags for €6 a bag per day with a €24 minimum for up to four bags, and can deliver them elsewhere.

  • Disembarkation morning. Bags&Go collects at the cruise terminals from 7 am to 11:30 am on cruise days, it says. At the Adossat wharf it meets you at your terminal's exit, and at the World Trade Center at the South terminal exit.
  • Bags straight to the airport or hotel. Its transfer from the port starts at €12 a bag, with a €24 minimum for up to two pieces, as published on November 4, 2026.
  • Embarkation day. Bags&Go says it can store your bags in the morning and then take them to the terminal and onto the ship before you board. Check with your cruise line that it accepts bags handed over this way.
  • Booking. Bags&Go books online and sends the meeting point after booking.

Then you are free to ride the Cruise Bus or walk with nothing heavier than a day bag.

On embarkation day

With suitcases, take a taxi from your hotel to the terminal. Private cars may drop off passengers and luggage at the terminals but may not park there, the port says, so arrive by taxi or have someone drop you off.

  • The fare. From Plaça de Catalunya, €15 to €18 to an Adossat terminal and €7 to €9 to the World Trade Center, by our arithmetic on the 2026 tariff read November 4, 2026.
  • By metro and shuttle. Metro L3 to Drassanes, the five-minute walk Cunard describes, then the Cruise Bus. The Cruise Bus says it suits passengers starting or ending a cruise, but it publishes no luggage rules. We would only try this with a carry-on.
  • The address. Give the driver your terminal letter and "Moll Adossat", or "World Trade Center" for the South terminal. The terminals guide lists each one.

If you are coming straight from the airport rather than a hotel, the airport to cruise port guide compares the €46 taxi with the Aerobus and metro.
