Where cruises from Barcelona actually go
Most cruises from Barcelona stay in the western Mediterranean: a week to Marseille, Italy, Sicily, Malta or Tunisia, all year round. The longer trips go east to the Greek islands, Turkey and the Adriatic from spring to fall, out past Gibraltar to Lisbon, Morocco and the Canary Islands, or across the Atlantic to Florida and the Caribbean in the fall. The counts on each card come straight from the schedule.

Western Mediterranean
Most of what sails from Barcelona, all year, and mostly 7 nights. MSC's weekly round trips call at Marseille, Genoa, Naples and Palermo or Valletta, some with La Goulette in Tunisia, and Costa's add Palma de Mallorca, Civitavecchia for Rome and Savona. Viking, Princess, Norwegian and Explora sell 7-night trips that end in Civitavecchia instead of coming back.

Greek isles and eastern Mediterranean
Greece, Turkey and the Adriatic, mostly May to October and usually 14 or 21 nights, because the ship crosses the whole Mediterranean first. Many are one-way: they end in Piraeus for Athens, or at Venice's terminals, Trieste or Ravenna, so the flight home leaves from there. Kusadasi, Mykonos, Kotor, Corfu and Dubrovnik come up most, then Split and Santorini.
280 sailings · 7 to 37 nights · from $748

Spain, Portugal and Morocco
Trips that go out past Gibraltar along the Atlantic side of Spain and Portugal, or into Morocco: Malaga, Cadiz for Seville, Tangier and Casablanca are the usual calls. Many end in Lisbon rather than coming back to Barcelona, and others turn back into the western Mediterranean and finish in Civitavecchia.
133 sailings · 6 to 16 nights · from $552

Canary Islands and Madeira
Mostly 10 to 12 nights out past Gibraltar to Tenerife, Lanzarote, Gran Canaria and Madeira, often with Tangier or Casablanca on the way. Celebrity runs most of them as round trips back to Barcelona. Others end in Lisbon or in the islands, and they sail through much of the year.
62 sailings · 5 to 20 nights · from $542

Transatlantic
The fall crossings, October to December, when ships move from the Mediterranean to the Caribbean, Florida and South America for the winter. Most end in Fort Lauderdale, Miami, San Juan or the Caribbean islands, or in Brazil or Buenos Aires, usually after calls at Malaga, Gibraltar, Madeira or the Canaries. All are one-way.
56 sailings · 12 to 34 nights · from $503

Northern Europe
Spring repositionings north, mostly Viking's, up the coasts of Spain, Portugal and France to Southampton, London, Amsterdam, Norway or Reykjavik. They are one-way, usually 10 to 20 nights, so plan the flight home from the end port.
28 sailings · 7 to 29 nights · from $1,009

World cruises and long voyages
World cruises and their long segments, sold from Barcelona by MSC, Regent, Cunard and others, from about two weeks to four months. Several end far from Barcelona, in Miami, Buenos Aires, Los Angeles or the Middle East.
11 sailings · 13 to 121 nights · from $1,449
